This verge lies to the south of Grimston village along the quiet Shoby Lane. It is being managed by the parish council supported by local residents as part of the County Council's Verge Wildlife Project. The verge supports a good variety of wildflowers and grasses which in turn provide good habitat for insects. The verge was surveyed in May 2026 and the species recorded are shown in the record list below.
The verge is left uncut between April and September.
Hogweed is common and its flowers are a proven magnet for nectar-feeding insects.
