Getting There

The site is accessed from the aptly named Corkscrew Lane, east of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and the A47. Access to the site is tricky with only narrow openings in the boundary hedge, making the site unsuitable for families with buggies or anyone with mobility issues.

There is no bus service to this area.

Description

Covering an area of 4.96 ha (12.26 acres), The Blackberry Wood lies on the outskirts of the hamlet of Farm Town. It was planted in 2007 as part of the National Forest and contains a variety of young native trees bounded by mature hedges. The site offers some good views of the surrounding area.
